Kathleen Young, MA, LPC

You want to feel better, and I can help

If you have found your way to this page, you're someone who wants to feel better. It's likely you have experienced a traumatic life event or are stuck in a pattern of intense, unhealthy relationships. Perhaps you are struggling just to get through the day.

For over two decades, I have been nurturing and supporting men and women just like you.

I've created an environment which is welcoming, private and peaceful. Let my office become your safe space so that we can do the work you need to feel confident, healthy, and unburdened.

My style is warm and engaging and my approach in therapy is active. Together, we will explore your strengths as well as challenges, and utilize practical, effective strategies to enhance your quality of life. We will work as a team to put the pain and suffering behind you.

While I am experienced in working with a wide range of clinical issues, I specialize in treating trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and relationship conflict. I am a certified provider of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective treatment intervention for trauma-related symptoms and disorders.

Erin Jameson Saltzburg, MSSW, LCSW

I'm here when you are ready

My goal as a therapist is to partner with you to figure out better ways to manage the turmoil of life and cope with change and loss. I will encourage you to consider that you can endure the pain and show you that there is a path forward.

I specialize in Perinatal Loss and Reproductive Trauma. This is a very important part of my practice and covers issues such as infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, recurrent pregnancy loss, TFMR, pregnancy after loss, anxiety during pregnancy, premature birth, and NICU experiences.

Additionally, I work with other kinds of grief and loss, coping with a narcissistic partner, anxiety and various life transitions such as changing jobs, divorce, re-marriage and becoming a parent. I am trained in Brainspotting, a clinical intervention that can be used for trauma.

In our sessions together, I will offer you emotional validation and support, ask questions, provide information and education, teach skills, encourage you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, support you in connecting with self-compassion and guide you towards acceptance and healing. Most importantly, I will create a holding space- a place that feels safe and secure to sit with your pain and vulnerability.

Some quick facts about me: I am a graduate of Columbia University, School of Social Work, New York, NY and I have additional training in Maternal Mental Health, Loss and Trauma. I am licensed to practice in both PA and NJ.

I am committed to helping you find personal growth and healing

I believe therapy is a collaborative process in which we work together to address the challenges and changes you may be facing. We can work toward developing the skills needed to cope more effectively, as well as make positive changes to improve your quality of life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost 29 years in the mental health profession and over a decade of those years as a psychotherapist addressing a wide range of issues. I have experience working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship problems and grief/loss. I also have a particular interest in supporting women coping with the challenges of postpartum adjustment.

Whether you are wanting to focus on a particular issue or are seeking increased insight and self-awareness, the foundation is a strong therapeutic relationship. My style is warm and non judgmental, using techniques taken from Cognitive-Behavioral and Person-centered therapeutic orientations.
